We were on a skiing holiday to Courcheval with Dave & Claire, Janet & Adrian (before children). We were in a chalet and on the chalet girl night off we booked a meal in a local restaurant.  We had a good meal and Dave, was chatting to owner, practising his French.  He asked for a special drink and the owner said he had something VERY special. Dave, of course, was well up for it.  The bottle arrived covered by a tea towel. The drink was poured and drunk.  Then the owner removed the tea towel to reveal a snake in the bottle! This caused much laughter and Dave started looking a tad green.
